Lindsey and Michael celebrated the union of their love on one of the picture perfect days I have had the privilege to be part of this year. On October 13th 2007 they tied the knot at the St. Patrick’s church and celebrated their reception at the premier venue of the Charlotte City Club, which stands 8 floors high with a beautiful view of the city. It was so much fun to hop aboard their horse and buggy for the ride from the Duke Mansion, where Lindsey and her ladies got ready, to the church and then on to the reception in town. I was so excited to have captured a fabulous portrait of them frolicking in the park with a gorgeous view of the Charlotte skyline.

Precious little Jacquiline made her appearance one day short of her due date and with perfect timing. I was invited to Presbyterian hospital in town to capture her first hours, and it was a delighted to photograph Mom and Dad with their beautiful bundle of joy. I was so impressed with Mom looking so well after having just gone through all the hard work of delivering baby. I only wish I had looked that good myself!

Having already photographed Carson's birth and first few hours, I once again had the opportunity to capture her newborn portraits. Mom and Dad were quite surprised with their youngster when she weed all over Dad when we took her diaper off! Dad was standing bare-chested with little Carson in her birthday suit, when the next thing we knew a big gush erupted! Totally hilarious and expected and still I am delighted with the resulting portraits. That is one thing to expect with photographing naked newborn - expect the unexpected!
