Having just returned from my photography convention in Las Vegas, my mind is spinning with all the wonderful training and expertise I had the honor to receive from the world's best. The annual WPPI (wedding & Portrait Photographers International) is a global organization administering the training and advocacy of professional photographers. It's so exciting to meet these great talents in the flesh, and I was enthused by the outstanding quality of work and specialized knowledge they are so keen to share. I made some new friendships, met old ones and absorbed the friendly camaraderie.

The Duke Mansion is a historic home nestled in the suburbs near uptown Charlotte. A perfect venue for capturing natural light portraits, I love the venue for its interesting backdrop. Kristy is an excited bride ready for her nuptials at the end of May at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. For this day, we took the time to capture some artistic looking portraits of her in her beautiful dress. It was a great opportunity for us to work together and for her to do a 'run through' with her hair, make-up and flowers. Something I highly recommend for all brides!

Shooby-doo is what baby Sasha is fondly referred to by her Mommy. What a cute nickname! Little Sasha was 3 weeks old when she came in for her very first portraits along with Mom, Dad and big brother Sidartha. With gorgeous brown eyes and a map of silky hair, Sasha looked like a little jem.

Photographing Wray and little sister Sarah Bennett was loads of fun with lots of color and Easter eggs. Mom wanted a fun filled Easter themed collection so we could pick out something for their family Easter card. with the promise of candy as treats we managed to coax some lovely interaction between the siblings.
