Every summer I get the urge to update and move around my studio wall samples just for fun, to mix it up a little (my poor husband gets annoyed as I get bored easily). So my goal is to attempt to capture MY OWN kids (I know what was I thinking!) and so far every year without fail I need a whole day to recover from the escapade! Talk about stressing with a capital S - especially when we added their cousins to the mix... Note to self: don't attempt this at home.

Sufficed to say the 2 very best of the lot turned out not so bad and I'm proud to show off my 2 kiddies and nieces on the walls. My daughter is 9 going on 16 (''like wot eva!'') and my son at 7 thinks he is the designated clown, so it's always fun to figure out what's going on in their heads to get just the right expression.

Look out for my first rather disastrous attempt at capturing the fam... (I've since learnt what NOT to do)...

Joaquin Fox celebrates his introduction to the world with this newborn portrait collection. Just like a bird in a bath, Fox enjoyed the softness of the feather-like fabric and like all newbies (especially boys) I capture in this position, they love to warm themselves with their own hose pipes!

Lovely Lola is the newborn bundle of joy for Kim and Kenny. Skin on skin, a tender touch and heart felt love always make for beautiful and emotive family moments. Dad was a little nervous at holding his naked and wriggly newborn, but a little pee never hurt anyone! Good thing part of my Tips and ''to bring'' list include an extra set of pants and shirt for both Mom and Dad...

Mom Ciann and Dad Joshua were delighted to lavish their love over their newborn baby Noah. It's always so much fun to see how lovingly and gentle Dad can be with his bundle even if Dad hasn't had the experience of holding a newborn baby before. Go Dad!

Mamma Adrienne was so proud to have her own Mom star in little Empress's very first portraits. Empress will forever remember that her Grandma was there to show off her newborn newness. Loads of pink make for a pretty in pink collection.
